Policyholders can also enhance their coverage with the Personal Automobile Plus Package. This package provides higher benefit limits for trip interruption coverage, increased transportation cost coverage (if the insured vehicle is disabled), or loss of use by theft coverage. It’s also trailer-friendly, with at least two features that look out for policyholders’ attached vehicles. Among the other bells and whistles which aren’t commonly provided by other insurance companies:

  • Device coverage: reimbursements up to $500 for cell phones, GPS systems, or two-way communication devices in a covered theft incident
  • Identity Theft protection: should a covered event result in identity theft, Auto-Owners will pay up to $10,000 for expenses related to restoring the policyholder’s identity
