Message from Dr Hohnsbein
I have decided to give up my position as GP Partner at Bridge Street. After 13 years I will leave the Practice at the end of July to commence work in Australia later this year. It has been a difficult decision as I leave behind fantastic colleagues and staff here at Bridge Street, whom it has been a pleasure to work with. Most importantly, it has been a privilege to look after you. I hope that I could make a positive difference, especially at times when you might not have felt your best due to illness.
I am very pleased that Dr Maria Wroblewska will join the Practice in August and I am confident that this will ensure a smooth transition of care.
All the best wishes,
Health Road Show
A huge thank you to all of our patients who took the time out to attend this event. Once again it was a great success, we raised 567.10 for our equipment fund, and in our flu clinic we gave over 100 vaccinations.
Our next Health Road Show will be.
Friday 20th October 2017 9am – 12pm
All GP practices are required to declare the mean average (eg average pay) for GPs working to deliver NHS services to patients at each practice.
The average pay for GPs working in Bridge Street Surgery Practice in the last financial year was 61,440 before tax and National Insurance. This is for 3 full time GPs, 2 part time GPs and 1 salaried GP who worked in the practice for more than six months.
You may notice that the quantities of your medication has been changed. We are currently in the process of changing all our patients’ repeat prescriptions to a 28 day supply, in accordance with government and CCG guidelines and recommendations.
This will also help patients manage their repeat orders and avoid unnecessary wastage.
Sunday 24th September 8.30 -12pm
Sunday 15th October 8.30 – 12pm
Private Shingles Vaccine
Anyone requesting the above not eligible as part of the NHS Shingles vaccine campaign the fee to give the vaccine is 140.00
Please can all patients be aware that we are unable to take repeat prescription requests over the phone, apart from in exceptional circumstances. If you need to order medication from your repeat prescription, please drop into surgery and let our dispensary know. If you have lost your repeat prescription slip, please write down what you need reordering on a piece of paper, and dispensary will treat that as a normal repeat prescription slip. Many thanks for your cooperation.
